Learn French, the language of love
Paris is the perfect place to practise your French skills on your partner… but what if you could do with brushing up? ACCORD Paris is a long-standing French language school teaching students from around the world how to speak and communicate with confidence. It’s in a prime location, just around the corner from Champ de Mars, perfect for a romantic picnic in the park, and a stone’s throw from the Eiffel Tower, ideal for coming out of class to the glittering light show when the sun goes down. There’s a whole host of French courses at ACCORD Paris to suit your timetable and budget, so you could spend your mornings in class and leave your afternoons free to explore the city with your loved one, or you could go all out with a private class for just the two of you to learn with your very own teacher.

Together in electric dreams
If music be the food of love, play on… Let loose and experience another side to the city at the Présences électronique festival this Valentine’s Day. The 3-day event kicks off on February 13th and closes on February 15th to celebrate the romantic weekend in serious style. Go on a journey into sound with your special someone and headline acts including Julia Giertz, Guy Reibel, Amma Ateria and Rhys Chatham. The international line-up of pioneering performances sees big names on the scene explore textures and sounds that push the boundaries of music. It’s all happening at the Maison de la Radio et de la Musique in the 16th arrondissement with tickets costing just 6-12€… leaving you change to pick up a crêpe after dancing the night away.
The Eiffel Tower by candlelight
What do you get if you take the most famous landmark in Paris, a few thousand LED candles, 60 minutes of piano music and your favourite person in the world? You get a Valentine’s evening to remember! Venture up to the Gustave Eiffel Lounge to drink in the views from 57 metres above ground at the Eiffel Tower. Then settle into your seats and treat your ears to a piano performance of some of the greatest film scores ever to be written in the glow of the warm candlelight. After the concert, head to the first floor’s Bubble to sample the special “La vie en rose” cocktail surrounded by romantic decorations before picking up an exclusive heart-shaped macaron from Pierre Hermé.

Put the “art” into “heart”
Rodin’s best-known sculpture is The Kiss, so it’s no wonder that the museum devoted to the French artist’s work is putting on an extra special evening to celebrate Valentine’s Day! Make sure you’re at the Musée Rodin in time for when its Soirée Love begins at 7pm, because there’s a whole host of things to do: join professional dancers to learn how to perform the tango in the museum hall, watch actors relive the stories behind the mythical couples who inspired Rodin, create your own personalised love note with the help of an expert illustrator to post in the museum’s very own post box, capture the moment with an official photo op and pick up a special souvenir for your loved one at the gift shop.
