French Language Summer Camp in Nice
That’s right, it’s that time of year again: It’s time to sort out your schedule before the kids break up for summer.
The summer break gives children a long and much-needed break from school and studying… but what does that mean for parents and guardians? Juggling childcare around work, spending a small fortune on local days out with no guarantee of sunshine (we do live in the UK after all) and the general fun of keeping the kids entertained for 6 weeks.
What do children want from their summer holiday?
They want to have fun! They don’t want to see you stressed about when you’re going to fit your work in, spinning plates to keep everyone happy or getting bored on haphazard day trips.

Active Languages work with a “Qualité FLE” accredited French language school which runs a French Language Summer Camp in Nice and on the French Riviera for 12 to 17 year olds from late June to late August.
The kids spend their mornings in French class with students of a similar age and level but all from different countries, so they get to mingle with children from other cultures and make new friends for life. Then they spend the afternoon playing sports, doing crafts, cooking, doing yoga, drama and more!
The kids can stay at a student residence (ideal if they want to make new friends and get the full-on “summer camp” experience) or at a host family (ideal if they want to focus on their French skills in the run-up to an exam or would prefer a “homely” experience).
On Saturdays they go on day trips to places like nearby Monaco or Cannes and every week they do a half-day trip to Visit local hotspots like Grasse and Vieux Nice.
The French Language Summer Camp in Nice is full board so you can expect your kids to come home expecting croissant for breakfast, jambon beurre for lunch and salade niçoise for dinner (hopefully they’ll have learnt a thing or two in their cookery workshops so they’ll be able to work their magic in the kitchen for you!).
The minimum stay is one week.
Budget and premium airlines alike provide regular flights to and from Nice Airport and the staff will pick up and drop off the kids for you… one less thing to worry about.
